MV Hebrides is Cal-Macs newest vessel and will operate on the Skye-Harris-North Uist routes.
The £15.5million vessel was built at Fergusons of Port Glasgow.
The brass bell, which has taken pride of place in the foyer of the Harris Hotel in Tarbert for the past 20 years, will be delivered to the new ship by a restored David MacBrayne bus.
The vintage bus was in service at Lochmaddy during the era of the first Hebrides.
