STOLEN LOOT

Glasgow vowed to return any works of art in the city's collections which may have been looted by the Nazis.
Council bosses have put 232 art treasures on a suspect list, including priceless works by Picasso, Cezanne and Whistler, as part of an international drive to return art stolen from Jewish families.
A question mark also hangs over 55 items in the Burrell Collection with museum bosses now looking at tapestries, porcelain and bronzes to check documentation on how they were acquired.
Sir William Burrell's collection is under suspicion but museum bosses said they were confident that his paperwork would back their legitimate history.
The extensive list of items was posted on the internet as part of a nationwide hunt for treasures stolen by the Third Reich.
Mark O'Neill, head of museums and galleries, posted Glasgow's list on the city council website.
Paintings are the main focus for the trawl as records for these are thought to be the most likely to have survived.
Suspected items include Picasso's Flower Seller in the Burrell and Cezanne's La Chaine de l'Etoile avec le Pilon du Roi which is in Kelvingrove.
The 1872 Whistler oil of Westminster Bridge, was bought by Sir William in 1938 and although the work was believed to be in Britain during the war, museum bosses want to piece together gaps in its history, particularly during Hitler's rise to power.
If descendents of holocaust survivors come forward to lay any claims to lost art, bosses would use the same process which saw the return of the Sioux Ghost Dance Shirt.
Council chiefs confirmed no Jewish families had been in touch over the art works but said any claim would be dealt with 'sensitively'
