Lily was one of the best, if not the best singer, to ever come out of Govan.
She passed away around Christmas time of last year (2000) and is greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Lily and John are life long friends and my wife and I chose this way to pay tribute to Lily.

The Songs She Sang
Lily is now in Heaven with the Lord above
Singing for the Angels, all the songs we love.

She left us in our sorrow when she got the call
"Come on up to Heaven, let's have ourselves a ball".
She did not want to leave us, not of her own accord
But here now was her chance to sing before the Lord.

So, here now in line we wait, and will forever more
In a line that now stretches from here to Heavens door
The wait will last a lifetime, when we will sit with the Lord above,
To once again hear Lily sing all the songs we love.
